Rest Day & Recipe
26th April
Rest day calls for a recipe! We just recently came across this great blog with some delicious looking recipes and the Honey Ginger Apple Shredded Pork had numerous 5 star reviews. I have to admit I haven’t tested it out yet but I will be in the near future. With the Paleo Potluck coming up May 4th we always get excited to add some new Paleo recipes to our current menu. Just a reminder for next friday you may show up at 6:00pm and participate in the WOD or you can choose to observe and be a cheerleader! The Paleo Potluck will start right after the WOD and we’re looking forward to seeing all our members there including the many new ones!
What’s In Your Kid’s Lunch?
5th April
As parents we’re constantly scrambling to make healthier food choices for our kids and their school lunches. I found these great suggestions from ‘Everyday Paleo’ that give some helpful suggestions to get you started. Your kids might not accept everything you suggest but why not make a small change here and there to point your kids in the right direction. Just a reminder also that CrossFit Kids classes have started this week and there are still a few spots available. Check our schedule and contact Michelle if you’re interested.
Anybody Can Do CrossFit
12th March
CrossFit can be done by all ability levels. When you join be honest with your coach during your assessment and let them know about any injuries you have, as well as your current level of physical activity. They will work with you to scale each workout appropriately (ie pushups on your knees, pullups with bands). We can work with kids, athletes, grandparents and everything in between. That’s the beauty of CrossFit!
